DESCRIPTION:
Known as Costa Rica's Amazon because of its surrounding rain forest, the Tortuguero Canal region is rich with exotic flora and fauna.
Board your covered boat for a leisurely cruise through the jungle canals. Your guide explains the rain forest eco-system and points out sights of interest. Keep an eye out for wildlife including howler monkeys, sloths, toucans, bats, aquatic birds, iguanas and crocodiles as well as exotic flora. At the end of your cruise, board your waiting transportation for the short transfer to Brisas de la Jungla, where the adventure awaits for you.
If you want an adrenaline rush then this is the tour for you! Glide through the treetops with this exhilarating adventure: 12 cables and 13 platforms stretched across the length of the rain forest. The longest cable is 270m long and you will experience heights up to 80m. Here you can enjoy the gripping thrill of the wind in your face as you soar through the rain forest witnessing some of the most spectacular views.
The platforms are arranged at different heights and levels of excitement. Up to platform 5, all cables are of similar length, however after this platform, the cables become even more thrilling. Here those people who would like to give up and return to the lodge may do so. This opportunity is also offered at platform 7. For those of you who enjoy the thrill, its go, go, go, all the way to platform 13.
All our tour guides are expertly trained in first aid, and carry special packs to assist them in the event of an emergency to administer the required attention. The Zip line tour begins with an orientation chat where the rules and regulations for safety and security are explained thoroughly. The orientation chat is very important and it is imperative that all advice is adhered to throughout the tour.
Bring your friends and family along to enjoy the experience with you, remember it is always better to live the experience than to hear a friend recount the excitement. NOTE: If you have a mix group and some people do not want to experience the canopy / zip line tour, it is not a problem due they can come with you and experience the rain forest nature walk meantime you enjoy the tree tops. The group will travel together all the time; we just split it during the activities.
Operational Notes
- Complementary soft drinks or bottled water are served during the tour.
- Round trip transport between the ship and attractions.
- The meeting point is inside the pier. Greenway have a special permission. Our guides are located close to the main gangway, just behind the security stand (scanner).
- Our guides will be at pier with a sign and the name of the tour on it.
- All buses have A/C
- Buses for 44 or 52 passengers have toilet.
- This tour has been designated an adventure and ecological tour.
- Tour is not wheelchair accessible & is not for pax with any walking limitations.
- All tour guides are bi-lingual English – Spanish. For other languages please make the request in advance.
- During this tour, in some places there is no shade, pax should bring sunscream, a hat, sunglases, etc.
- During the rainy season, Sep- Dec, pax should expect some rain. Pax should bring a raincoat.
- Greenway Tours suggests pax to bring mosquito spray for beach and rain forest tours.
- Greenway Tours buses are equipped with First-Aid Kit in case of accidents.
- Pax should wear comfortable shoes.
- Pax should be advised to bring a backpack to store cameras, film, sunscream and any other belongings for easy travel.
- This tour is designed for active people that enjoy exercise and the great outdoors.

Tour Timing
- Departure Time is 8:00 AM or 10:00 AM for late arrival ships.

- 20 minutes drive to Brisas de la Jungla.
